With Halloween around the corner, we did not plan something scary and creepy to shoot. But decided to go with more of a 'Dreamy, Whimsical' feel. These two incredibly beautiful humans KILLED it. Alexa happens to be an amazing makeup artist and did the makeup for this shoot. She exceeded my expectations. And Tessa has the voice of an angel. Please go stalk both of them. Alexa's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alexakait/ Tessa's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tessa_kaye/ No butterfly's were harmed in the making of this shoot.    I did a questions and answer on my instagram story last week and I got this same question ...

Unique?
OKAY FIRST THING'S FIRST. I took these pictures of Reggie and Kendall and not only are they adorable couple but Reggie is an amazing videographer and photographer and you need to go look at her stuff right now  https://www.reggieannfilm.com/   Now, let's get down to business. (please tell me you finished that line) I've been thinking a lot lately about what makes a 'good' wedding? What defines a wedding as fun, authentic, cheesy, boring, lame, exciting, one-of-a-kind? I have attended many weddings, as you can imagine, and no two weddings are the same. There is something that makes each wedding unique and it isn't the table ...

Kennedy & Chandler’s Colorful Wedding
This wedding had SO MUCH COLOR. Especially in the flower arrangements done by the incredible Madison Murdock (Bloom by Madison) They got married at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple and then had a reception in a friends backyard. It was simple, yet timeless, fun, and classy. They tied balloons to weights so they would sink to the bottom of the pool and stick out of the water. (go find the picture below) There were the yummiest treats from Gourmandise.Kennedy and her dad planned a surprise dance and their dance skills were exceeded my expectations. Everyone danced until they all decided to take a jump in the pool. Kennedy and Chandler ran through ...

Elegant, Italian Inspired Backyard Wedding
I tried to narrow these pictures down so you didn't have to scroll through 1.2 million images, and this was the best I could do. I was insanely impressed with this backyard Utah wedding. The bride, groom, and their families worked hard to make this the perfect place for a timeless wedding. See that wooden wall in the first picture? Yeah. They built it. The detail and ideas you will see in this blog post will blow your mind. If you are planning a backyard wedding, I suggest scrolling. For The Love
I recently had an 'aha' moment I wish I would've had when I was beginning my photography career. Early on I had a goal to find my 'style' and make sure I stuck to it so when people booked me, they knew what type of images they were going to receive. I felt pressured (mostly by myself) to find a style I could classify as 'dark and moody' or 'light and airy.' I was LOVING the dark, moody, warm images so I tried to find my niche in the moody world of photography. Editing was hard and frustrating. I would have shots that would probably look incredible if my style was light and airy, but that was not the look I was going for so I HAD to make the i ...
