Unique?
OKAY FIRST THING'S FIRST. I took these pictures of Reggie and Kendall and not only are they adorable couple but Reggie is an amazing videographer and photographer and you need to go look at her stuff right now  https://www.reggieannfilm.com/   Now, let's get down to business. (please tell me you finished that line) I've been thinking a lot lately about what makes a 'good' wedding? What defines a wedding as fun, authentic, cheesy, boring, lame, exciting, one-of-a-kind? I have attended many weddings, as you can imagine, and no two weddings are the same. There is something that makes each wedding unique and it isn't the table ...

Karissa and Wyatt’s Timeless Garden Wedding
This wedding was extra special and a little sad when it was all over because I don't get to hangout with Karissa and Wyatt as often as I have in the past year. We started by taking their engagements on the cliffs of Big Sur which if you haven't seen... go look at them NOW because they were so cute and fun. ( CLICK HERE ) Then Karissa and I went into the Utah mountains to take her bridals. ( CLICK HERE ) Last, their wedding day was to die for. The detail, the ceremony, the food, basically everything was perfect. (wait until you see the look on Wyatt's face when he sees his bride walking towards him) They had their wedding at Red Butte Gardens ...

Karissa’s Lake and Mountain Bridals
Karissa and Wyatt wanted to wait until their wedding day to see each other in their wedding attire, so the groom didn't join us on this shoot. Karissa is one of the most kind, happy, and real people I know. She looked stunning in this dress and I am so lucky to have been her photographer for her wedding. I just finished up editing their wedding day, and wait until you see Wyatt's reaction when he saw her coming down the aisle.   xx

I have been dyinggg to post this session and now that their wedding day has past, I'm throwing them out for the world to see. Squaw Peak Engagement Run Down
I'm going to walk you through the steps of this whole photoshoot and include a few tips and tricks along the way! Community over competition. If you want to learn even more from a one-on-one with me head here for more information about my mentoring sessions!   One of my favorite parts of a session is getting to know the couple. It's exciting to learn how they met, how he proposed, how long they have been dating, what they like to do together, etc. I met these two at a nearby grocery store and then drove up the canyon together. I got to learn so much about them and see how they interact with each other just from the drive up. I coul ...

Mountain Anniversary Shoot
I shot Camille and Tanner's wedding a year ago and when Camille asked me to take anniversary pictures for them I was SO excited. They are such a fun and loving couple and I was pumped that I got to hangout with them again. I love anniversary shoots for multiple reasons. One being that I get to see my cute couples again and two... I get to see how much their love has grown after a year of being married. These pictures were shot at Tibble Fork Reservoir in Utah. For all you Utah people, the reservoir is CRAZY full right now and the deadness of winter has finally gone away. GREEN MOUNTAINS STAY FOREVER. please.   xx   ...

Olympic National Park
Last year I decided to invest in an amazing workshop hosted by some pretty incredible people. The Alpine Northwest workshop (@alpinenorthwest or alpinenw.photo/) was an experience that led me to new friends and much needed inspiration. I added a little 'Behind The Scenes' picture at the end of this post showing the madness that went on behind the cameras.   xx

Big Sur Engagements
There are two things in this world that speak straight to my soul. First is photography (obviously) and second is music. In my opinion, they go hand in hand. Each shoot I do has it's own song, beat, and rhythm. Music and photographs both capture every type of emotion. When you see a picture of someone who has dealt with depression for the past ten years, you can see it in their eyes. When you hear a sad song, you feel the heartbreak of not just the person who wrote the song, but your OWN heartbreak. Looking at these pictures, I don't just see a beautiful couple, breathtaking cliffs, and the endless sea in the background... I feel the rhythm o ...
