Unique?
OKAY FIRST THING'S FIRST. I took these pictures of Reggie and Kendall and not only are they adorable couple but Reggie is an amazing videographer and photographer and you need to go look at her stuff right now  https://www.reggieannfilm.com/   Now, let's get down to business. (please tell me you finished that line) I've been thinking a lot lately about what makes a 'good' wedding? What defines a wedding as fun, authentic, cheesy, boring, lame, exciting, one-of-a-kind? I have attended many weddings, as you can imagine, and no two weddings are the same. There is something that makes each wedding unique and it isn't the table ...

For The Love
I recently had an 'aha' moment I wish I would've had when I was beginning my photography career. Early on I had a goal to find my 'style' and make sure I stuck to it so when people booked me, they knew what type of images they were going to receive. I felt pressured (mostly by myself) to find a style I could classify as 'dark and moody' or 'light and airy.' I was LOVING the dark, moody, warm images so I tried to find my niche in the moody world of photography. Editing was hard and frustrating. I would have shots that would probably look incredible if my style was light and airy, but that was not the look I was going for so I HAD to make the i ...

Big Sur Engagements
There are two things in this world that speak straight to my soul. First is photography (obviously) and second is music. In my opinion, they go hand in hand. Each shoot I do has it's own song, beat, and rhythm. Music and photographs both capture every type of emotion. When you see a picture of someone who has dealt with depression for the past ten years, you can see it in their eyes. When you hear a sad song, you feel the heartbreak of not just the person who wrote the song, but your OWN heartbreak. Looking at these pictures, I don't just see a beautiful couple, breathtaking cliffs, and the endless sea in the background... I feel the rhythm o ...

Cruisin’
After admiring their faces for at least a year, I FINALLY got to shoot with Nicolette (@nicolettepaige) and Colby (@colby_fratto). Their happiness and kindness shows in these pictures.  We were planning on shooting at this location for a hot second before heading out to Salt Lake City to hopefully get a "better" location. But as we started shooting, I realized something... It's not about the location! Shooting in Salt Lake City instead of this random building wouldn't have magically made the shoot better. So instead of focusing on WHERE we were shooting, I focused on WHAT I was trying to capture. I didn't care about cool backgrounds or scener ...

Wildflowers and Bridals
I love answering questions about photography. What's better than talking about your passion and what you love? A couple weeks ago, I asked on instagram what questions people had for me and the response I received was incredible. When I was first starting out as a photographer, I had so many questions. Part of me wanted to message one hundred photographers and find my answers, but the other part of me felt dumb for asking simple questions. So, I resulted to YouTube to avoid humiliation. Well, can I tell you a secret? EVERYONE STARTS SOMEWHERE. Nobody becomes a good photographer overnight. It takes practice, time, research, and asking questi ...

Kelsie & Austin, Old Train Station Bridals
This old train station in downtown Salt Lake City, UT was the perfect place for some moody bridals. After we hit the city, we made our way to the Salt Flats for more dreamy shots. Austin and Kelsie are so fun to photograph and they are such a rad couple. You can just tell by looking at these pictures how authentic they are. xo

Jessica & Alex, El Paso Texas Wedding
This day started out at the Indigo Hotel Downtown El Paso, TX. As the day went on, more memories were made and the laughs got louder. A beautiful ceremony was followed by a breathtaking backyard reception. The bride and groom supplied a  Dior and Cigar bar for the guests along with "I Spy" for the kids. This wedding could've been in a movie. I can't even explain how much fun I had partying with these people. Congrats Jessica and Alex! xo dream
